Shade It Blinds started in 2021 as a small family venture with one goal: to bring beautiful, high-quality window coverings to homes across Calgary. Founded by Ryan Younker and joined by his wife, Somer, as a partner and co-owner, the company has quickly gained a reputation for its honest advice, high-quality products, and genuine care for every customer.

Formerly a geologist, Ryan has traded his hammer and hand lens for a tape measure and screwdriver! When requesting your free consultation or during the installation process, he’ll be glad to chat about all things sports, especially the Blue Jays and Oilers!
Somer Younker
Partner & Co-Owner
Somer, splits her time as a Physiotherapist and assisting the family business! As a style consultant at Shade It, Somer will be more than happy to provide you with your free in house consultation.
Together Ryan and Somer have to active boys Henry and Tommy ages 10 and 8.
